It’s so amazing that God, the Creator of the Universe, wove us together & made each of us unique. We have different fingerprints, footprints, and even different voice prints. We have different personalities, abilities, & temperaments. None of this was by accident, but all part of a great masterpiece. Even more awe-inspiring is that our blueprint is the same as His, for we were “created in His image” (Gen. 1:27).
You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body
and knit me together in my mother’s womb.
Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!
Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.
You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion,
as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.
You saw me before I was born.
Every day of my life was recorded in your book.
Every moment was laid out
before a single day had passed.
and knit me together in my mother’s womb.
Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!

Laminin by Louie Giglio

(6 minute video)
When I first heard Louie Giglio’s
motivational video, I was excited, but doubt crept in. I’m cautious and a bit of a skeptic at
believing “everything I hear”. There
have been times in my life, where I made decisions on what someone else “heard
from God”. I now realize that God speaks
directly to me. He often uses others to
confirm things, but those confirmations will always line up with something He’s
put in my heart.
Immediately my thirst for truth came; it
was time to research. According to merriam-webster.com,
laminin is “a glycoprotein component of connective tissue basement membrane
that promotes cell adhesion.” All animals
use laminin to hold the organs in place.
Without these proteins our bodies would fall apart.
The earliest research that I could locate on laminin dates back to 1990. This is 18 years before the above message was given. The journal article “Structure and Function of Laminin: Anatomy of a Multidomain Glycoprotein” states that laminin are “cruciform shape”. The cross-shaped molecules have 4 arms. The long arm helps anchor the actual organs to the membrane. (I want to note that laminin adopts a variety of shapes & that not all laminin resemble the cross). The article later states “Laminin is the first ECM protein detected during embryogenesis.” It is present in humans and animals, long before they are born.
God finds incredible ways to show Himself to us. Christ made everything in the heavens and on the earth.
He made everything that is seen and things that are not seen. He made all the
powers of heaven. Everything was made by Him and for Him. Christ was before all things. All
things are held together by Him. (Colossians 1: 16-17 NLV).
Have you ever marveled at a Thomas
Kinkade painting? What often goes
unnoticed is the hidden expressions. If
you look closely you may be able to make out the initial N (for his wife Nanette) which is hidden in all of his
paintings. A great artist always
leaves his mark. I am truly amazed that
our Creator placed the image of the sacrifice within the DNA all living things.
