Many of us struggle with our thoughts. We beat ourselves
up. We forget who we are. We are in bondage to our negative thoughts. It’s time that
we quit listening to all the lies and actively take God at His Word. It’s
time to let the truth set us free.
So my friend, “Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” The
Bible doesn’t say he might flee. He will
flee. Its time to take up your shied of
faith “which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil
one” (Ephesians 6:16). Again, it
says ALL of the arrows of the evil one. All of the lies, the negative thoughts, those
flaming arrows that seem to come out of nowhere, they will be
extinguished.
Maybe you have forgotten who you. So let me remind you!
YOU ARE:
A New Creature -“Therefore,
if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:[a] The old has gone, the new is here!” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
Chosen – “Therefore, as God’s
chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion,
kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.” (Colossians 3:12_
Forgiven – “In him we have
redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the
riches of God’s grace” (Ephesians 1:7)
God’s Handiwork – “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do
good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians
2:10)
His child - “See
how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children
of God; and such we are.” (1 John 3:1)
Holy & Blameless - For he
chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in
his sight. In love (Ephesians 1:4)
More than a conqueror - in
all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. (Romans
8:37)
Strong in the Lord - Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
(Ephesians 6:10
The Apple of His
Eye - Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings. (Psalm 17:8)
Victorious: “Those
who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will
be my children.” (Revelation 21:7)
Remember that “He who began a good work in you will carry it
on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:6) We might have stumbled along the way. But even that can be used for purpose. The Bible reminds us that in “all things
God works for the good of those who love him” (Romans 8:28).
Not some things, not just the good things - ALL things.
Our failures and mistakes can be used as a testimony to impact one more
life. So my brothers and sisters,
remember who you are!
